Since ticket prices are about the same, delta will keep more money on a ticket from Atl to lhr than United will from Ewr to lhr.
Between payback days/rolling thunder on every fleet, green slips being fairly distributed (UA eats their young regarding premium), and having 2 captain on 4-mans; you can keep the 50 more WB’s

Edit: With addition of global scope in 23’ I expect the WB gap to close over the next handful of years. Delta will be forced to grow 1:1 WB’s as all JV’s introduce more flying. The addition of this scope was a huge win that will bring more & more JV flying back to DL pilots

true statement on the premium. I’m a few years in and have only ever gotten one premium trip. When a premium does pop up, there’s a list of 30+ that all want it.

First year at DL flew 1 GS a month (1-2 days; nothing longer), and sometimes got calls for more. Not to mention inverse assignments are nice to see too (always paid at 200% & doesn’t count against your GS#1)

That’s probably more of a BES/commuter thing. It seems like every month I could have over half my trips be at 100% if I lived local in EWR. Trips that pop open after 3 PM though, forget about it.

sure, BES and commute play a big role, but the point still stands that it’s purely seniority based, and that’s all. Delta goes by seniority, but spreads it out so everyone gets a chance eventually. UA could see the top person get every premium trip if their schedule allowed it.

Our rights as Americans are defined by the Constitution. Any threat by these rights are affirmed by federal courts and the Supreme Court. The military does have the duty to defend the Constitution, but we haven't gotten to that point in a long time. The military defends our international interests. A soldier is not going to defend your first amendment privilege, it just ain't gonna happen.

And most of our defense is currently paid with debt. The taxes you pay are barely paying the interest on our debt, let alone the principal.

We get paid pretty ridiculous amounts of money to fly the trips we fly. Getting a premium trip in open time, getting bought off of a trip for training, or all of the extension pay we get are all really nice things to recieve every once in a while. If you absolutely HAVE to get premium trips, and base your happiness or budget on that, then you may need to reevaluate your life choices.

Not you in specific, but i see pilots our complaining, and I cannot roll my eyes any harder into the back of my head.

Most pilots at UAL can be senior in some BES. We all make choices.

Yup, I for one decided that a higher hourly rate at CA pay on 90 percent reserve as a commuter was better than 756 FO pay straddling the g-line/winter reserve as a commuter….
