United uses two Captains on some city pairs too.

Keep in mind that Delta has stricter augmentation rules than UAL. This provides additional pilot jobs per airframe. With planned future flying the two CA's required on flights over 12 hours will start to create a significant number of widebody CA jobs. Currently it provides about 8 additional jobs for each aircraft used on a pairing with a leg over 12. Routes that meet that will increase with the introduction of the A350-1000. Copilot jobs are also gained in the 8 to 9 hour range.

Curious where you work. Seems like maybe Comass in past. All your posts are now in United forum. Did Delta and United turn you down.

IOW what are your credentials to back up your barbs?

Just trolling?

Yeah, I generally think the Delta stereotype is overblown, but GD this thread certainly enforces it.

"Yeah, you have more WBs, but we do X,Y,Z, so we're better in that category, too"

Pretty effing obnoxious...

Well, if nothing else maybe we can pattern bargain off Delta and get 2xcapt for all flights over 12 hours.

That would be a win wouldn't it?

Knowledge is power. (I read that some where)

Delta uses a 4 man crew with two Captains on flights over 12 hours. They go to a 3-man crew on flights over 8. Weirdly the company never pressured DALPA to agree to the FAR117 rules.

None of three clowns were around in 2008 when Delta was on the verge of liquidating or they'd be a lot more humble.

I'm curious how the numbers compare between more WB'sat UAL vs 2 CA's on flights over 12 hours at DAL.

UAL the 777/787 has 1479 CA's & 2693 FO's

(Based off the min-max bulliten for the vacancy bid in early FEB, I'm not sure if that includes pilots on LTD)

You won't get a real response. Sailing is retired and the people with the data will include the wrong airframes.
