Well, to start with, I don't trust anyone with felonies, massive fines for fraud, found liable for sexual assault, porn star payoffs, caught running fake charities, or one who is ALWAYS in court, suing, or being sued. And you trust this guy?

Typical with most UA threads, this thing has derailed. Maybe we can derail it further and talk about why we don’t publish DOH on the seniority list.

Come up w/ enough nebulous “savings” to provide justification for the massive deficit producing tax cuts that are coming for the super wealthy. Also, to dismantle government agencies responsible for oversight (ie, “interference”) of Elon & his buddies’ companies or constitutional checks on executive power. Other than that, just to publicly kiss Dear Leader’s @$$ enough to keep one’s position in government.
I only take issue with the idea that it’s at all a secret.

It’s the least secret thing ever, he tweets about everything everyday.
How are they going to cut taxes for the “super wealthy”. There isn’t a separate “super wealthy” tax bracket to cut. I guess you could argue capital gains?
Congress writes most of the special cut outs into the tax code. If you wanted to change the tax code to benefit someone it would be a lot easier to just dump a lot of money into some Republican and Democrats congressional races (both sides are equally guilty, gotta get reelected).
I know it’s an easy Bogie man, but I don’t think the super wealthy even care that much about taxes. A billionaire has so much money taxes don’t matter. Elon wasted 40 billion on twitter because he likes free speech, he doesn’t care about money anymore, he doesn’t need to.

What does Elon Musk hate the most? He hates the fact that sometimes a GS-13 making 70k a year with the FAA/EPA etc. shows up on his Space X facility with the sheriff behind him telling him he can’t launch his rocket today because some migratory Texas Egrets might by nesting nearby or an Allegiant flight is flying from Brownsville to Cleveland.
“THE NERVE. I’M Elon Musk. I’m single-handedly taking humanity to MARS. Who are these nothings telling me I can’t do _____. I have the vision.”
The goal is to dismantle any kind of federal government oversight into all these projects that people like Musk should just be allowed to do. How they want. When they want to do it. No matter what, with no pencil pushing bureaucrats to interfere.
the goal is to burn down the entire system. I’ve argued before that FINE. Medicaid/medicare/SS, which are the bulk of federal spending maybe *should* be left to the states. I’ll pay for my blue state social safety net with a high state income tax.
BUT…I promise you no republican politicians in Mississippi or Alabama is going to vote to cut those programs that me, in a blue state pay for. I subsidize the 30% of people on Medicaid in Mississippi and get nothing out of it. They are going to blow up the deficit later this year to lower taxes for corporations (not you), and keep the social safety net. I promise you this.
just stop being so naive thinking that Elon Musk of all people cares about your tax dollars.

No one is listening to it any longer as it reverberates in the echo chamber of has-beens and political failure.
As for the original intent of this thread..... I think she had a few good points, but I can also see that she stepped on a few toes. Overall for me she was great on the Covid madness that transpired at mother U, but the age 67 thing and not leaving the cockpit for younger pilots was a bit over the top.

You're too far gone. Or haven't been paying close enough attention if you genuinely believe what you wrote in that paragraph.

$500B a year in waste fraud abuse.

Somebody is brainwashed. I have a sneaking suspicion it's not me....I am open minded and will at least explore/fact check things I don't want to hear. Unlike some.
Sorry for an inconvient truth.... next you'll try to tell me $500B a year is just chump change
Do your own fact checking of GAO reports on waste/fraud abuse during the Biden years and let me know.
