It appears that she knowingly violated company policy. Intentional noncompliance. United has an army of lawyers that we pay if they are working or not, she will have to pay for her lawyers. She stands no chance of winning a court case. The only issue the company would have is potential managing the publicity. That’s probably something they could stifle with a Liable suit.

I don’t disagree with you, but the 4000+ comments on the YouTube video argue that she is a true patriot and a pilot people want at the front of their jet, unafraid to speak the “truth”.

and yet every one of those 4k rednecks buy the cheapest fare, no matter the airline. It’s all philosophical until it affects their lap dance budget.

How many journalists have argued in court that no reasonable person should take them seriously? How many journalists have claimed to have been attacked by literal demons? How many journalists have cost their company $800 million for repeatedly making libelous claims? Tucker's accomplishments in destroying his own credibility are unmatched, and to claim otherwise is just a false equivalence.

I forced myself to listen to the whole thing to form my own opinion about the person. Right off the bat it is established that flying in the US, specifically, is worse than it ever has been. Obviously, this is a subjective accusation at best with really no evidence to back up the statement. She mentioned the initial findings in the DCA crash and, I agree, the near misses at the airport are quite shocking. She also states her opinion about the Toronto crash and how it happened. Spoiler alert, the girl flying had a situational awareness issue. She describes an incident were she was a passenger on an airplane and the flight couldn't go because the pilot called out fatiqued only 30 minutes before push and this was an egregious and horribly irresponsible act. Again, no back story or objective facts cited. Tucker even threw in a quip that the guy might've been up drinking all night.
She mentioned that the Endeavour Airlines girls who made some recruitment video disgusted her....okay...I mean they're young people utilizing new technology. I found it a bit cringy and never would have watched it if she didn't mention it but I wouldn't go so far as to say that the video is a symptom of bad pilot training and caused the Toronto crash. She mentioned she doesn't want children flying people around. Honestly, everyone is a child compared to her.
Next up is a story about a young man who asked her "how to fly a visual approach." Tucker responds with a shocked passive aggressive "ugh, look at the ground" remark. If this story is even true I think she did a huge disservice to this person by not explaining the unverbalized questions within the question. Either that or she is too effing stupid to get it. I am sure that the question was intended to be more akin to 'how do you fly a visual approach?' What power settings do you use? What is a good pitch angle? Do you back it up with guidance from an ILS? When do you set TDZE? Do we have to about the Class B airpace? But don't worry, guys. She said that young man will be fine from now on. She then stated that the training department told him to fly the airplane with the autopilot on to 50 feet above the ground and then click it off, look outside, and land. BULL-**********-SH**! I ******* guarantee that the training department is not doing this. I have never had anyone tell me to do that...EVER. Perhaps an instructional technique is to have them fly an approach with the autopilot on to get used to what the airplane does and then do another approach autopilot off. I don't know. I smell a huge pile of steaming male cow excrement.
I'm getting tired but we have more. She states that we KNOW who the pilot flying was in the Blackhawk in the DCA crash. We KNOW who was flying because of who was talking on the radio. We KNOW that the pilot talking on the radio was NOT the pilot flying because the pilot flying "NEVER" talks on the radio. She literally said that the pilot flying "never" talks on the radio. I mean...what? As the pilot flying, I frequently talk on the radio. We all know pilots miss radio calls and its easier to answer for them then to explain what was said or perhaps they are not in the cockpit. OH yeah that reminds me. Apparently, there are tons of senior pilots who refuse to leave the cockpit to use the bathroom because they're too scared of what the young pilot might do. But, on the "junior" 737 fleet it's not really a problem because our flights are so short.
Also, according to her (a self proclaimed pretty good Captain), she rotates the airplane at V1. Cool. Yup, SW the sky-god rotates at V1. I'll leave that one to fester.
Honestly, I think she had a couple of fair points about like one or two things, but most of the interview was just absolute crap. To be fair, she did openly mention her DUI and how it changed her life. I find it hard to judge her for that since she brought it up. I also believe that she believes in fighting the company over the covid vaccine mandate. Covid was a terrible time for everyone and I personally didn't have the balls to stand up and say no I'm not getting it but that is a discussion we could go down a rabbit hole on for the next hundred years.
