Narrowbodies Destined For The United Fleet In 2025

Boeing and Airbus are set to deliver a number of their narrowbody aircraft to United in 2025, replacing the airline's aging Boeing 737-700 and Airbus A320 fleet. That might be true. I'll tell you what they told me at NGPA 2 months ago: not much hiring this year except for Aviate and military due to Boeing delays, come back when I have 1000 PIC. Didn't even look at my resume. Luckily the next day I was hired by AA but United would still be my first choice.

Has anyone heard anything about the MAXs actually replacing the 737-700s for real? Four -700s seem currently parked, but I assumed MX or cabin retrofits. Not inclined to believe replacement without another source (internal or external)...
