Back in September 2023, I received CJOs from both Delta and United. I’m based in the Chicagoland area and ultimately chose Delta, primarily because their class date was two weeks earlier than United’s. I’m currently commuting to DTW, but I’m not interested in relocating. Lately, I’ve been wondering if should have chosen United instead?
Thanks for any insight.

Thread asking an obvious question about airline A vs B vs C, with no possible decisions to be made, which will certainly start a ****ing match
Yep this definitely isn't a troll post at all.

Having close friends with DL/UA/SWA and myself being at AA— I do believe Deltdah has the best soft pay in the industry. They nailed it and the entire seniority list benefits. At AA and UA more soft pay is a direct result of having better seniority.
Idk why someone living in Chicago with an offer to UA would chase the commute to Deltdah. Idk why we had a DL guy asking for a ride from DFW to LAX recently who later told us he received an AA CJO 2 months after being hired at DL, but still decided to commute?? Large ego maybe?

That said, AA and UA all day over commuting

Living in ORD, Delta wouldn't even be on my radar. My choices would be American or United. United is bigger in ORD, but American will give faster seniority progression.
Unless you plan to move to DTW, Delta will be more time away from home, and less money.

the mistake wasn’t yours it was your parents. They should not let you have a cell phone so young. They should have kept you off social media, internet, video games. They should have forced you outside and play more in the real world. If they had taken a harder road when you were younger, let you be mad for a few days but stick to it, not given in then you wouldn’t be on APC looking for validation on a choice 2 years ago. You wouldn’t feel anxiety. You would realize you made a choice. That choice has consequences. You won’t know if you made the right choice or wrong choice until you retire. It’s life. Stop worrying about past choices and look forward. Don’t blame your parents they had no idea that you would have these issues of needing constant reassurance and positive affirmation and constant hit of endorphins from the enjoyment that your phone provides you but your can’t replicate with people. No one knew except the people out in the tech industry who purposely keep their kids out of school they rely on tech, limit their exposure. They seemed to understand the issues pretty early on but they liked making money off your parents and everyone else.
good luck and enjoy your time in the industry.
