If you are an NB FO you are definitely trying hard because you would have to get well over 120 hrs per month all year. Even a WB FO would have to get over a 100 hrs a month.

I was able to score a few 110-120 hour months, simply by being in the right place at the right time, etc.
Still had more days off those months than I did being about 50% BES at a regional. Making more each of those individual months, than my FIRST YEAR at a regional…..

That said, none of us are hurting to the point where the monetary value of status financially moves the needle, and in my case I don't consider the juice to be worth the squeeze.

It also depends on your ability to game the system. I'm a widebody guy that lives close to base, so I have a lot of opportunities to make money while still keeping my monthly TAFB at or below 150 hours. I realize not everyone is in that position.
That said, none of us are hurting to the point where the monetary value of status financially moves the needle, and in my case I don't consider the juice to be worth the squeeze.
