it only last up to a year or so once you use all your ESB…then nothing else is deposited. Delta goes to retirement. Ours is tax free theirs isn’t. However, do the math to see who’s is better. Your social security will drastically be reduced if you go out at an earlier age as well.

I agree our LTD is lagging Delta and AA by a significant margin. UPA 23 had some wins but we are not industry standard in more than a few ways. Reassignments are another area where we are behind our peers. I think we can make up the ground with a unified pilot group and a strong MEC.

I’m okay with getting reassigned as long as I’m getting paid premium for it.

When I got here, I was told that we have the same reassignment add pay structure as Delta. My pay registered determined that was a lie lol

What are you talking about? 24-H-3-a. I’m not saying we can’t find improvements but LTD does provide non-trivial retirement funds for the full duration.

LCP's bidding VEC when they're not realistically on reserve needs to go.

Absolutely this. Ideally, I don't think reserve should be allowed for them at all if they're above the g-line. So many of them get either IOE trips or if not, they get build line check trips so far in advance. Then they're not on reserve and then the coverage gets worse, hurting the ability for everyone to trade.

If the company can mini pack me, I should be able to do it to myself. I understand there needs to be a buffer that exceeds 117 rest rules in the PBS run and trading, but why so much in the real time window? I’ve been just a few minutes short of 12:45 soooo many times. This needs to be the 117 limit of 10 hours. I would be happy with 11 or 12 though.

I believe there is. I think you get OT until the originally scheduled showtime of the next trip.

mini-packing has benefitted me on so many occasions I really don’t think we should get rid of it. I know you didn’t suggest it but someone else did. It saves you from having to get a hotel or go to your crash pad and you get a pretty significant pay bump. I don’t understand how getting rid of it would benefit the pilot.
