When I’ve been low time (in any seat) I’ve made plenty of errors that I could attribute to inexperience, unfamiliarity, work overload, etc. As a more seasoned pilot, most of my errors tend to come from complacency, past revisions, routine fatigue, etc. I’d imagine most of us are the same. I’m best off when I focus on that set of threats that is most applicable to my situation and not whether others are more error prone than I am.

Most were caused by inexperienced FOs. Most of the captains were lifetrs because they couldnt get hired or had no motivation to leave.

You guys aren’t getting it

When we almost smeared a 744 of people on the mountains in SFO, A LOT of people thought the PR disaster would have been unrecoverable.

You think if there was a body count in Maui and Newark, it would be ANY different?

Hard to say with United given our size….I mean AAL survived despite the 95 Colombia.
Hopefully no airline ever has to test that out…..but to your point..I DO NOT think some carrier like Breeze could survive a Hull Loss at this moment.

So some people thought that, but it didn’t happen. Do you really think JP Morgan Chase would just dust their hands and exit stage right in your scenario? It’s an unnecessary distraction.

Yeah, because they got lucky and DIDN'T hit the mountain.

You're STILL not getting in, reading comprehension NOT your thing?

Man, the hubris to think that we could have killed A LOT of people, yet we're "too big to fail"

Doesn't matter if it was us, DAL, or AA. 2 widebodies full of people combined with a body count ISN'T a good look for the traveling public/TICKET BUYERS.

You REALLY think JP Morgan Chase would subsidize the airline waiting on passenger confidence (TICKET BUYERS) to return? Sure, whatever.....

Theyre not walking away from their investment I can tell you that. No UAL would not go out of business. Nor did they ever in previous accidents. You old enough to remember the 90’s? AA had a slew of accidents…(checks Internet… yup they’re still in business.

Why is your quote function routinely screwed up? You gotta talk to the mods about that…..
