What part of my statement was incorrect? Really, I'd like to know. It gets old listening to you guys complain about CAL. I've worked under the current CAL contract for 6+ years, you think we like it either? If you don't want to be here simply wait till the JCBA and SLI.

You have health insurance day 1, no probation, and you receive the payrate you had at UAL.

Welcome to Continental Airlines, I hear we suck.

Those pilots had insurance up until they were furloughed to get this dam merger to go through.

The pilots now on the Cal side are not new hires those are their positions it is all United now. Who knows were any one will fall with the SLI we have no say in it the arbitrator does. The pilots that were furloughed from United on the cal side are stuck at the pay rate for one year for some that means 2 years of first year pay do you think you could live under that kind of pay.

So that is were my statement comes from give it a break we are all one group trying to get the best contract possible and somewhat of a SLI ,no one will be happy but the upper 10% on both sides.

Fighting amongst us does no good.

My response was to 47dog. His statement was not correct, the furloughed UAL pilots flying at CAL are NOT considered "new hires". The simple fact is he's flying on the CAL side of the house. If he were a "new hire" he would have no heath insurance for 6 months, serve a 12 month probation and get paid $31.18 per hour (the UAL first year pay is $32.61) Hence my statement.

Your right, infighting does no good. Our common enemy is Jlo and his band of idiots.

Sit in on the first couple of days of "new hire" ground school. We are new hires. New employee numbers, all paperwork says new hire, at the bottom of the list, full indoc, can't do a system bid till done with training and on and on.

The only difference is that ALPA worked out a few things for us since we were are on furlough from Ual.

If we are not new hires, then I'd like to take my 13 year senority position on the list please..........didn't think so.

That's a lot, but flying on your work days is not forced. This isn't slave labor, you took the job.

Default Hey Otto

This isn't the job that any of us signed up for. Yeah, we took "a" job, but not this one.

Disagree with that. This particular endeavor is still a personal choice.

From the relative quiet of an "upper 10%" perspective, you guys are truly your own worst enemies. This notion of "somebody else's fault" must be a GenX thing.
