Default New Hire Pay

I have a question about how long Indoc is and how/what are new hires paid during training. I have a relative starting new hire school soon. I’ve been at UAL for 28 years but have no idea what to tell him about how it works today.

The syllabus is on your iPad under training tab... pay rates in the UPA.

You have NOT been at UAL 28 years if you call a Guppy a 737. It’s been a Guppy at UAL since it came on property. Good try

Actually I have been here 28 years and we’ve called it a guppy since before I got here. Seniority number around 2400. What’s yours? Nice try back at ya

90 hours a month at whatever the first year pay rate is currently (in the iPad). Medical benefits day 1. Travel benefits day 1. Hotel paid throughout training. Per dime 24/7, even if you go home. 2 days off during training, positive space home. Laundry paid for. When you get online it’s a slight pay cut.

I thank all the guys I fly with for this contract...it is far better than past contracts with respect to new hire compensation.

Wow, that's shockingly good, actually.

My apologies for the assumption. Your Tag through me off. But after looking at some of your posts where you call them guppies, I can admit I made the wrong assumption.

The guppies not on property in 2010 dont count for anything. That goes for both the UAL guppies and the CAL Guppies.
