Dunno the current syllabus offhand, but in the past it's been in the first couple days.

EDIT: Found the syllabus, and travel enrollment is Day 3.

How long is the training footprint once you get started? What are the training time lines for basic indoc, ground school, sim, IOE? If someone could share that would be great?
Are there required number of days off after each phase?

Figure roughly 2 months for indoc (9 days) and aircraft training (5 weeks, give or take). Typically, it's 2 days off a week but that can vary.

The break between indoc and sim training will depend on the fleet and availability.

Ditto for the break between aircraft training and IOE.

Sorry to be so vague, but the specifics REALLY vary.

Thanks. I agree with so many variables, hard to give exact numbers.

But generally is it 2 days to 3-4 weeks ?

Yes.

Typically you'll receive your training schedule before you complete indoc so you can plan your life.

Oh interesting. Thanks Cadetdrivr, good info.

Good thread too. Didn't know United had such a robust training pay system.

Thanks to the people who made it happen.

Now let’s talk reserve rules, LTD, sick time, and vacation and training pay.

And they pay for their own uniforms...and a flat rate salary (approx $5,000/month) from day 1 of Indoc until IOE complete....definitely room for improvement.
