well ual will not recall at all in 2012--- did any of u read the ual mec friday email-- they are parking 2-15 UAL 757's and of course taking on 737's to the cal side-- the exact scenario everyone keeps stating--- and of course the rumors of a ord and den 737 base and a iah airbus domicile will come to fruition prob int he first half of 2012.
and yes there is a triple type fo training scenario but mgmnt has already addressed this as they will give the union a few carrots, then ask for, and receive "RELIEF" from said "triple training scenario"
"when the tooth fairy comes in, theres change missing off the drawer and ur daughter's knocked up... ive seen it a hundred times"

From Straight & Level:
Answer from Senior VP Flight Operations Fred Abbott: The B757 and B767 fleets, which are being replaced by B737-900s and B787-8s respectively, will see a reduction over the next few years. All the aircraft being returned to the lessor or being sold, have replacement aircraft on order. The current fleet forecast keeps the roughly the same number of aircraft on hand.
Rumor: Just heard that a 400 was recently returned from a charter company that was leasing the A/C from us, also another one is coming out of mothballs back to UAL.
Answer from Senior VP Flight Operations Fred Abbott: The B747 fleet is being reworked. The current fleet plan keeps about the same number of aircraft flying for the next five years. We are contemplating bringing on an additional aircraft as a spare. The cost of the interior refit may cause this not to happen.
