And remember, since Jeff says it is all about treating each other with dignity and respect, we know this at least one thing which will be in our new contract.

EWR is NOT 10 hours for a reserve. It is 9. Their creative interpretation is that the 10 hours is only for line holders because a reserve isn't reporting for a trip in 9 hours, they're just starting a PAW which if they are called have three hours to push. Either way, whether it's 10 or 9, it pales in comparison to 14.

They aren't magic. They're hard fought and real. Just not for us. And as long as CAL pilots somehow think they're exaggerated and unachievable, we'll never get out from under them.

Dom rsv can't fly more than 89 credit hours. That includes actual flt time, 1/2 dh, vac drops (5 hrs per rsv day), training, and sick leave. I have hit the cap with barely 70 hours actual.
The other big one for actually getting rest is 9 hard hours in your hotel room minimum. That generally drives the min layover to 10-10.5 hours minimum in actual operation.

What makes you generalize that CAL pilots don't believe they are achievable ...I think our JNC and our pilot group would disagree with you.

I'll bet you're loving that "hard won" scope section.

History tells us that both CAL and UA have given allot back, so neither pilot group has the market on negotiation battles. You guys kept some good work rules, but your pay is behind and guys placed on the street through negotiations At CAL we are no better. We voted on a PBS that was effectively a blank sheet of paper and it has made our lives miserable, especially in the 737 and if you are greater than 50 percent. If a Furloughed pilot from UA can't live under the current draconian work rules at CAL...which will improve (just as payrates for UA will improve dramactically) then roll the dice, stay home...and wait for L-UA to recall you.
