Pay protected for the trip and yes we have "on-call" obligations in place of that trip, too. They are noted on our schedules as P-RX.

Ours are daily on-call obligations for each day of the protected trip. I know one of our original pre-merger contract proposals was that the company would have ONE opportunity to use us and then released for the remainder if not called during that block.

Thanks!

I won't say more about it but there was another poster that gave a good reason for not having a personal database(pix) with easy access. JMHO!

Scheduling does have the option to release us, also. I have been released the day before from RX "on call" many times. Usually, they are only so generous if you really aren't legal for anything, anyway.

Yeah, doesn't happen all that often.

Try sitting reserve in the summer, hitting guarantee with a week or more to go for the month and ask to be released. I swear the schedulers put those calls on speaker so everyone down there can get a good laugh for the day as you beg to get the remainder of the month off.
