Is FAPA not worth it?

I think it is. I just thought he meant people were already being called from the LAS one.

I'd imagine the poolies would be first as is customary but if you've been putting in the hours as an intern and are standing right there I'd imagine it counts for something. Who knows what the order is. Just rumor and conjecture. Sure CV knows what he's doing. Seems like a good person from all my experience.
What job fairs? WAI???

I'm not sure what he was alluding to. He claimed to have had a conversation with somebody in the know about the possible hiring plan and he said they said initially they'd like to go through the interns, some people from various professional associations and of course the poolies. I got that the gist of the conversation was they wanted to tap the people who REALLY wanted to be United who they had known about for sometime. Just some passing conversation he had and like most of the conjecture, speculation and rumor on here is likely not even accurate. I wouldn't read much into it.

Well there ya go. Looks like this guy was wrong. With the official email today they are running everything through airline apps.com and if you have any particular affiliations or recommendations you can attach them and your app stands on its own. IMHO thats the way it should be done based on equal opportunity fairness and I think UCH is doing the right thing by trying to make it as fair as possible. Good luck to all, hopefully there will be a level and successful playing field for all the applicants and may their accomplishments, talents and character speak for itself.

Another example of how rumor and speculation are very often way off the mark.

I noticed earlier on airlineapps when I was updating my info that it no longer is an app for Continental. It's now an app for United. Just an observation...

Negative. No problems for me, although I've had it completed for awhile.

You didn't get a call? They called me yesterday! Kidding.... blahhhhhh

Sorry, I'm just as anxious, checking my e-mail constantly. 4.5 years of waiting and all of this is coming to a head, definitely looking forward to some news after all this build up!
