Considering Bombardier and Embraer have shuttered new 50 seat jet production, and, as a complete industry segment are at the end of their financial service lives, and CALs scope prevented jets greater than 50 seat jets....... I'd keep CAL's.
Pontificate if you will about the dreaded Q400s but there are currently 14 in UAX service with a total of 32 being slowly brought online from Colgan and Lynx to RAH.

Would you care to share the source in which Gordon was "publicly quoted" saying such? Can you provide a link to the article or video in which he said this?
Here's a social media dialogue I had with Mr. Bethune a while back. Of course, I know I'm stirring a hornet's nest by challenging one of the Continental pilots' most cherished urban myths. Hammer away at me personally, if you wish. But, can you furnish that link?

I've got 800+ posts and I agree with everything he said. Feel better now?

No. I respect your opinion though. With 800 posts I can look back and see who you are and you've been here a long time and posted about other issues. The dude above joined and has posted only on the TA and his yes vote. If I were in management, I'd do this with 100 new names just to sway the vote. I'll apologize if this person sticks around after the vote. You are welcome to call me out on it.

I stand behind my posts and accept constructive criticism and logical rebuttal. Healthy debate is good. When I'm wrong, I usually am the first to say so.
PM me if you want to work out some reasonable proof of my status as a regular line guy.

Fair enough direct. I don't disagree with all of your posts. I think it'll pass even though I'd vote no if not on leave. It'll pass because of fear though. There are some good points in the contract. From the CAL side they are just not good enough. I understand completely why the UAL guys would see it through. It seems if somebody is pushing too hard to get everybody to vote yes, it raises my suspicions. Truce. Pardon my sceptic ism I work for Smizek.
