UAL Pool-ies

I hesitate to ask in a forum but any 'inside' info on number of
classes over the Summer, after the May classes if any, and their approx. size?

I have not heard any news, just the statement from CV in the March poolie update that he was told to expect training though the summer.

Poolies from 2008 (which was the last time United interviewed prior to starting again last year) were given a year. When interviews started last year, about 50 who had expired in the pool in '08 were given an opportunity to interview AGAIN in Jan-Feb of '13, before the off-the-street interviews began in ~April.
I sincerely hope those of you currently swimming are aggressively pursuing DAL, AMR, USAir, Alaska, etc. This is about putting multiple eggs in your baskets and not simply sitting on one in hopes it's going to hatch. Good luck and I sincerely wish the best for each of you.

Different circumstances. In 08, they began furloughing and didn't hire again for almost 5 years. I would think that that is a far different scenario than the one we are currently in, which is continued hiring for the foreseeable future. Why would United spend all that money to bring us out for the interview only to dump us only to turn around and re-interview us 13 months later?
Or, if your heart is dead set on United, I'd simply ask CV directly, then you'll know!

Looks like we may have a couple of "new" poolies that have joined the tread.
For everyones SA, poolies that have joined our wait and thread watching mind posting interview dates or interview week?
06 Nov here.

FWIW the below quote was cut and paste from the AA hiring tread, it was from someone who was at Vegas OBAP....take it FWIW:
"They have still not sorted the thousands of resumes from WAI. Unofficially, AA may not start calling those folks until May. So bottom line is, things have in fact slowed down, but will pick back up in a little over a month. This was much better news than United: CV said yesterday United is not resuming hiring until this fall, and theyve already hired 543, with 170 still left in the pool. Stay patient and hopefully the call will come sooner rather than later! Good luck everyone "
I believe that is the same CV quote and exact numbers from the WAI a couple of weeks ago.
