I too got the call on Friday but had to defer until the 15 July class. Merry early Christmas to whomever got that last seat in this class, and best of luck to all. See you there in July. Thanks as always for your efforts, MPA.

Fleg - sorry this month did not work out. Yep, someone either did or will get an early gift. And I sure they are very appreciative!

Poolies - It is hard to say until Monday if the minimum 2 deferrals from Friday have already cascaded down....guess either 2 folks recieved their gifts or 2 will be getting their gift on Monday.

FWIW, they did go into the 04-08 November interview week at least by 1.

If you have looked at our last poolie list, you probably figured I am hoping "Santa" will visit me Monday

(the wife is ready for me to go back to work, apparently a career military/aviator's wife does not have it in her daily plan for me

). But having a July 4th off will be nice considering it will likely be the last for a while.

Recent News/Scuttlebutt
01 May- Hiring Update- Due to some additional training opportunities over the summer, United plans to train most, if not all new-hire pilots in a pool awaiting class dates between now and the end of August 2014. To ensure that we have a sufficient number of new pilots in the pipeline to fill class dates in September, we will screen a limited number of pilot applicants for a couple of weeks in June. Our needs beyond September will be met through screening that is not likely to begin again until mid-August.
21 April – CV’s replacement is “BK”.

According to Flying Together, August class dates are 8/12 and 8/26 (not 8/5 and 8/19)... Again, you may have better gouge than me, but this is what's listed at this moment.

Not sure which is correct....the only "official" info I have is from our Poolie email and it had 5 and 19. Hopefully for the later interviewees it's "all the above"

Sorry to jump in with this quote from a couple weeks ago but can anyone with access to the flying together website look up the list for new hire classes. I am really looking for aircraft type and number of slots for each aircraft type, if possible. I start class on Tuesday and there are about 4 A320 and 7 slots to the 76t. I know the June 3rd and the June 17th class is offered 737 and 76t but no A320. I am still weighing the options on what aircraft to bid and knowing future aircraft per class numbers would really help. Thanks!
