I also want to add that last year I attempted to attend a LUAL Local Council meeting. This was after the Profit Sharing Debacle. My Guard buddy was going and I was going to join him. A couple of days before the meeting he told me that he had spoken with his Rep (can't remember which one..) and was told that it was not a good idea for me to attend.
Ok.. no worries. Life went on.

You speak of UNITY - why not do the right thing? Withdraw from the running for F/O rep and give your support for Rob S. That would speak volumes for your sincerity for UNITY.

Ok, so now Unity = Give up
So now you want our Rep. bases, our 787's, our Captain seats our growth...what's next our homes, wife's and children???

She's very cute, 5'7, 125lbs and long brunette hair and works out every day but that's not the point...I think Motch brings a lot of energy into the Rep position, I don't agree with everything he says, but he seems to favor no side over the other. I think he will be a good rep for all New York pilots.

You know, sometimes I simply cannot believe what I read on these forums.
If I was a CAL new hire who happened to be a UAL furloughee, and that bothered the local council, that would be their problem not mine. I cannot imagine any legal justification those CAL guys had to exclude a CAL pilot from a local council meeting. I suspect the reason the guys that were "asked to leave" are keeping quiet is because their attorneys told them so.
What a reckless overreach by a "union" council.

If I remember correctly the L-UAL folks at L-Cal had their dues or assessment split. Part going to normal representation, part going to L-UAL ALPA for SLI representation. So wouldn't it follow that they should be excluded from participating in discussions involving the L-Cal side?

Mitch, In your opinion, having heard what was discussed for these 15 minutes, do you think this was necessary?
