Not this crap again. Can't we get to a point where we go to work, do our job go home, enjoy family, drink beer, collect paycheck, and rinse and repeat? The "your planes are inferior to ours" stuff got old real quick. Clue: All our airplanes are belong to us now!;)

Mainland to HI is one of the longest ETOPS segments on the planet.

My opinion is a "nonsense rant"? Wow! Do you ever read your own posts?

Half of my "crossings" were from down under or Asia. And, I think most of us pilots that actually fly those routes consider them crossings. I didn't bother adding the 600 plus North Atlantic "crossings" in the last 30 years. Not once did I land in Goose and pi$$ off 200 customers because of an old POS B767-300 started shacking. Really?

Rant over.

Your milage may vary.

...and all of "OUR" 737's are an inferior product in an overwater market. UA jumped into the HI market with 737's because they're cheap, not because it's a better product.

True, but what ocean does that route "cross"?

Haha, good one! The 73-900ER is a very nice plane but should not be flying to HI.

A working entertainment system sure is nice on a 5 hour flight.

3300 X 10 hours round trip (assuming West coast) is 33,000 hours flying to Hawaii alone. Plus all the Atlantic crossings. How many hours can a person fly in a 35 year career?

Which is one reason using the guppy is such a joke

Good thing we have those new 767-400s in the fleet then. They never shack up or whatever....
