Den 76T fo seat. Every fo could bump to Den 737 Cap. The JR fo den 76T is about 400 numbers senior to the JR Cap on the guppy. So even on a volunteer basis the senior Fo' could take the junior guys bump using his number and still bump into 737 Cap in Den or Anywhere for that matter.

To say they prefer one group over another is plain silliness. They treat us all as cost centers and replaceable.

If your seniority can hold captain 737 then bid it. Between new aircraft deliveries and retirements there will be plenty of vacancies.
I love your Forum name by the way, awesome...

Overall you are correct, but there are some games being played too. To deny that is silliness:-)

And that's just the point, some aren't even "working fine"---trained. Why violate the SLI O&A and train them, and possibly have them get displaced at a later date and spend more money training them again? Why not follow the SLI O&A and then you don't have to juggle manning and possibly expend funds to protect them....

You can bid something all you want. No vacancy, no award. But we will see. I hope you're right and I'm wrong (don't hear that much on a forum).

I wouldn't be surprised if they allow the 14-02D's to become pay protected and train them at a much later date. They will pull every manpower trick possible to limit displacements. They've already broadcast their intentions...

From the SCC:

The company is planning to deal with reductions, if needed, primarily with attrition. If this is not completely effective, there will be Displacements between vacancy bids. The UPA displacement process is completely different from Vacancy Bids and will be explained at a later date.

Some of these measures will save money. Some will cost money. If you don't think Flight Ops will spend money to do this think again. I have $40 million reasons why that is untrue. I don't want to see S-CAL pilots get displaced just for the sake of displacement, but it will be interesting to see the lengths the company may go to protect them.

The Flight Ops also gets an added benefit of creating dissension between the two groups by doing all this. But hey, at least they have willing participants.

So who is to blame now?? Is it Abbot I thought he was gone? Pierce? Wait heard something about him being shown the door too. You guys need a new boogie man. Maybe coworker Attarian has switched sides? Maybe, just because someone does not see things your way that just means they think you are wrong and are not in some deep conspiracy?

Why would they ever think that? I would feel like a fool now if I were them since they are not even close.
IAH756,

Since you are so confused of my meaning I'll try and clear it up for you.

There really isn't any need to make antagonistic snippy little comments like this. They are counter productive and they do nothing more than make you come off as an insecure guy who is desperately seeking attention.

Now in regards to feeling foolish, my comments above were in regards to the LCAL ISL proposal that was so out of line and so juvenile as to not even get the slightest consideration by the arbitration panel, IE it was so far out in left field it was summarily dismissed. The night before the ISL release there was a LCAL guy bragging on here that our collective LUAL heads were going to explode when the ISL came out because it was going to be 100% LCAL and our proposal was going to be shot down.

Talk about should be feeling foolish.

BTW

Sorry I missed you yesterday, but I do firmly believe that you are a far more polite person in the flesh than you are with this in your face accusatory act you put on when posting, the net can mask basic manners and polite speech at times. I'd sure like to have the opportunity to prove my theory, that man to man you aren't a bad person, next time you are on a long Denver lay over or I'm on a long Houston, one or the other should shoot PM and we should meet up.

What do you say?

I still have no idea what you are talking about. Read my posts above. Your post here does not match the dialogue subject matter.
Did you girls meet up in the IAH schoolyard at 3 o'clock to settle your differences? Hilarious, setting up your tryst on a public forum. Well, who kicked who's a$$?

I think on deep intellectual level that IAH756 is deeply in love with me and all the pilots he he pretends to insult. I think wants a to consummate this relationship. I'm just trying to give him his chance.

Embrace our diversity......

Well, I have to agree with you on this. I think that the CAL proposal was a pipe dream. It had me going up to 45 percent in the new company, that would be a 25% gain, so I never expected that to happen.

I am actually happy with SLI.

I don't think my comment on the first post was snippy at all, I think that those people would feel like fools when they see the captain that they said that to previously. Just like the CAL people that were bragging about the CAL proposal...

I just don't see how any UAL hire that was hired back on the CAL side after being furloughed ever thought that they would get a captain seat. They are all super junior on the SLI.
