Joe:
I'm not sure if you are L-UAL, but when I got hired, one could buy a booklet at the United Mainliner Store called "Pilot Unimatic Guide." It was written by a line-employee, and USEABLE. Almost everyone bought one (eventually), when they realized they couldn't do it with the company pamphlets.
I smell a project here for you. You could make big money!

Yes.. you can find who's doing a flight and what trip they're CURRENTLY on.
You also see anyone's ORIGINAL schedule.
What you CAN NOT find out is:
1) any CHANGES during the month to
another pilot's schedule.
2) real time uncovered open flying (this is not the same as listed open trips)
3) large loss of reserve assignment process transparency
It is this lack of AUDIT TRAIL ability (that helps
keeps the contract honestly adhered to) that is giving people heartburn.

<<"It took me all of 1 second to figure out that you are a D-bag".>>
<<"Because you're a Dbag, obviously".>>
Now its posts like these that keep me coming back to this dreary and dreadful place. Please keep up the good work!

Wouldn't it have been nice if our union dues would of gone into paying for some sort of 'joint integration task force' that would have been charged with bringing these issues to the hot stove long before they blew up in the pilot group's face? Screw it, BLAME CAL!
