Pants:
Winter operations require the uniform issued pants to be worn.
Summer operations pilots may substitute either "boardshorts" or "nifty cargo shorts" in lieu of pants. (Only for pilots based in GUM, SFO, or LAX)
If replacement shorts are worn in place of uniform trousers then the hat shall not be worn.

Hey guys, my 'Pops' leather jacket came in about a week. The quality and fit is EXCELLENT. Time to ditch that flimsy, cheap uniform suit coat, for good.
They do have somewhat lengthy measuring requirements on the site, with help not to bad. I just went with the standard calfskin and the options a few pages back. It was $531 with what I added.

531 Clams?
I'll toss out that kind of ching when Pat Patterson rises from his grave, retakes the tiller and asks me to buy one. Till then, I'm far too underwater with UA to spend that kind of money on a leather jacket. I'll use that for sustenance and spirits on the overnights.
I bought a fantastic black cashmere/wool blend while on work release and flying for Brand X. Hope to finish my lackluster career with it.

Can I please get some opinions from those that own a leather jacket whether you 1) bought a liner and 2) use it very often.
Seems like a liner might make the jacket a lot more bulky to pack.
Also a comment on the Pop's option you chose and if you'd do anything different. (I was reading about embroidered wings and it seems like some people had a pretty strong opinion about that. Is it not authorized?)

Dave, I really don't use the zip out liner. It isn't like we are mushing along the Iditerod trail. I'd skip if I ordered again.
No one will give you grief over the embroidered wings, the most would be a harmless comment if a 'half-winger'.
There was fairly common mention of the metal wings poking a hole in the leather over time. That's when the tips got pressed into the leather.
