Legacy united people are going to drive this company into bankruptcy again. You (l-UAL) are more preoccupied with making a point than having a functional airline. I don't like our management. I don't like our direction. I do want this airline to succeed. I am not going to cut off my nose to spite my face. If you don't like it here then leave. All I want to do is provide a good service for a fair wage. I don't want your baggage- I don't care who crapped on you before. Passengers don't care about how you were lied to. They don't care that you were betrayed. They just want what they paid for. If you can't do that then just leave. Part of the reason the airline sucks is because of poor customer service. If you are part of that problem then just go away.
Everyone here knows the difference between following the letter of the law and making an airline work. My point is that there are l-UAL people who are more preoccupied with making a statement than working as an airline pilot. I have seen it firsthand. Don't be that guy. Please. Yes, like most here, I have struggled through a fight for a contract. It doesn't mean I undermine my airline by using it as a weapon.

Our contract costs the company 700 million a year. We carry 130 million people a year. Our contract is less then 7 bucks a ticket, out contract will not destroy this company. Mexicana pilots work for free for the last 60 days trying to save their airline. It still went out if business.

Hiding behind contract language doesn't prove a point. And it certainly doesn't make a profitable airline. I have seen firsthand the difference in attitude between legacy U and legacy CAL. I know you got a raw deal. Don't think that manipulating the contract is going to fix what's been done. In the process of getting even you are going to ruin this place. Then what will you have proved? That Jeff is an idiot?
The contract is the contract. Abide by it. Fly it. Use it.

My post is not about unity. Neither was his. You can't have it both ways. CaL took a bunch of bids (deny it, go ahead), yet in this one instance the contract benefits both sides (each can use the displacement provisions) and somehow it is the ual side sticking it to the cal side. Scott
Allright, back up. It is this that outrages you? Calpa delays the contract and sli for well over a year, cal pilots end up holding cap bids all over the ual system dramatically out of seniority (3000+ numbers in den alone) yet a handful of l-ual pilots utilize their contractual right to bump when uch can't get them trained (note, no training train wreck on the lual side) and you're outraged. Unreal. Scott
Now if your talking about post SLI ... the process will determine if the COMPANY is in violation and what may be done to rectify the deeds ... the rumor floating around is that there are folks in the training center that are actively helping L-UAL types pursue/achieve the training delay with the intent of getting said types their "rightful" seat ... true or false who knows, but the thought of this type of behavior being condoned is what has some in a tizzie.

Exactly how did CAL take a bunch of bids, and exactly how did Calpa SOLEY cause a delay in JCBA & SLI ???? Let's talk "living by the contract" ... after MCD, UCH execution was constrained by the TPA and each legacy contract. The legacy CAL contract grew the CAL side about 500 jobs post MCD/pre-JCBA, and it was the legacy UAL contract that stagnated the UAL side ... nothing else was at play here except the contracts that were brought to the table ... NOBODY STOLE ANYTHING ... if you want unity, sh*t like this has to stop.

Legacy CAL wouldn't have captains in DEN ORD or SFO. Thanks to the merger, they do. Thanks to the SLI, they are butt junior and displaced Legacy UAL guys will come cascading down on top of them for years by hook or by crook. Let the games begin.....Live it!! whoop
