All I want to do is provide a good service for a fair wage. I don't want your baggage- I don't care who crapped on you before. Passengers don't care about how you were lied to. They don't care that you were betrayed. They just want what they paid for. If you can't do that then just leave. Part of the reason the airline sucks is because of poor customer service. If you are part of that problem then just go away.
Of course one could also opine..."if you don't like United pilots, why don't YOU quit".

I guess in due time we will see just how UCH will fix the imbalance they have right now in many BESs ... reference the B756/76T, what will prevent the company from involuntary BATs & involuntary TDYs to manage the problem until folks give up and bid an OPEN vacancy???

Ain't no BAT in Denver or SFO. They can only invol. TDY for 45 days out of 12 months (8-G-5-e). Plus, that's pretty expensive. Guys are already bumping into CA slots from delayed FO training. It's just the begining.

Yes, if there wasn't a merger those same pilots would be Captains on Continetal airplanes while those junior to them would be foaming at the mouth to fly the "great wide bodies" of your decrepit old and liquidated airline.

But since there was a merger there was a TPA. It was agreed upon by YOUR MEC, and allowed pilots and airplanes to be shuffled around the system on BOTH sides.

Sled, your side got an obvious windfall from the SLI. Quit your arrogant grandstanding and move on.

I know you're trying to flame but, are you really that naive? The reason those bases went so JUNIOR is because the SENIOR LCAL guys didn't want to bid those bases. To say LCAL guys couldn't hold it is just dumb, just for a frame of reference I could hold all 3 bases on the 737 and 767 was a Denver commuter and still didn't bid that spot. I know you are REALLY eager to hold the left seat but, you're not really scaring that many LCAL guys since it was only the real junior LCAL guys that wanted to upgrade fast like you do. Like I told Hoss, I do hope you are able to get what bid you was ASAP! I think seniority rules!! I guess I just don't find the joy that you do in trying to screw over these fellow pilots!! All the ones I knew didn't go there with GLEE thinking lets go screw all the LUAL pilots. They went there to upgrade ASAP just like I think YOU would have if the tables were turned!! You may want to keep an eye out, Karma is a B%&$h!!

The TPA LIMITED the amount of shuffling around that could be done. It didn't ALLOW anything. There was NOTHING in the UAL contract that prevented UCH from opening LCAL bases of ANY fleet in ANY base. The TPA was a defensive stop loss agreement for UALPA. Luckily, we were able to get that SLI before TOO much damage was done. The SLI outcome was pure Karma that will last though out your career. I'm not moving on, I'm just getting started. Seniority is 4-ever.

I appreciate your concern, but I have been a Captain here at ol' UAL. Karma is coming alright, coming to those junior Capts you just referred to.

Liquidated? How would you know? The arbs pointed out that you were underperforming us in the period leading up to the merger. Your Management team jumped in and stopped a USAir deal (remember the ugly girl?). As for a windfall on SLI---ehhh----well a CAL pilot hired 3 months after me in 1997 is a shade over 2000 numbers senior to me now. Sorry Mitch, I'm not feeling the windfall you describe. Next.
