Just wanted add my $.02...
For those of you who have never flown the Airbus. STAY AWAY the airplane is a death trap. Heed my warning DO NOT BID the left seat of the Bus!
Some true facts about the Airbus..
Fly by wire, die by fire....
The difference between an A-320 and a chainsaw? About 300 trees a minute.
An Airbus once got stuck in a holding pattern. They were never able to get it to exit. It's still there just circling around with a bunch of skeletons ridding along for eternity.
The flight control system takes a PHD in french and physics to understand.
Flying the Airbus does not make you gay. But it does make you look gay.
The airplane calls you a retard on landing.
You never really fly an Airbus you just give it suggestions and then it overrides you...
DO NOT bid the Bus, consider yourself warned.

The Guppy is a pathetic excuse of an aircraft..."if it's Boeing I'm not going..." And for good reason

$.02 cents...and worth less than half, on a good day. The guppies are utter FOD, own it. LOVE trans-cons, topping out at 33k (ain't no T-storms that high no how!)...making 35k an hour prior to TOD, AND being short on gas...not to mention flying within 16.9 knots of yellow band, NO excess thrust available, +- 12 knots in VNAV, and stalling one every 3-4 months at altitude...

You are wrong. The Guppy is AWESOME and everybody should bid it. The Airbus is dangerous and everybody else should NOT bid it.
Wink Wink...Do you get IT now?

I have to say Hoss I had a good laugh at your original post!! Very clever! And I have to say these boards are a lot more fun to read!! In all seriousness I don't think you have anything to worry about. I haven't meant one person that is thinking of bidding the 320. And it's not a knock on the plane it's just that I think people are to lazy and comfortable to make the switch!(like me!!) I said last yr I didn't think there would be that much movement,(meaning different bases and A/C) I just think people got on here and "huffed and puffed"! The only disclaimer is if the seniority on one plane gets out of whack with another in same base. p.s.-You don't want to bid on the "minnow", new name for "Guppie" since pilots determined guppie represented to large of a fish giving it to much respect!! And we are no longer allowed to park at jet bridges where the real airplanes park. We have to park in the "Commuter Parking area!!"
