They might also infer you to be over the age of 40 if you have a newer medical. I should also add that they ask you mark out your date of birth on all documents before the interview. It is just a simple step to make sure everyone has a level playing field. Also note, it is not required to be less than 6 months old to be selected for the interview. Just needs to be less than 6 months old when you interview.
lets be real with this. why all the secrecy about age. they can easily tell your age simply by looking at your education history. High school graduation and or college. It really is not hard. we can cover all the dates on medical and licenses and it really means nothing. I am in this class by the way. Interviewed December 18th.

Lawyers told them to do it, just in case.

No one would likely win an age discrimination suit against United anyway. Once they did discovery and found that United is hiring a bunch of guys over 40 they would have a hard time proving United didn't hire them because they were over 40. Just look at the ages of the guys in the recent classes.

Its all just a part of CYA on United's part.

You should be in pretty good shape seniority wise, even if you're not the oldest.

The oldest in my class was 49, average 39. I know of a 55 year old who's waiting for his class assignment.

Who will toe the line when the need arises (and it will)? A 45 year old with a military pension or a 33 year old? I'll take that young guy. Screw HR!

Contrary to misconceptions, not all 40s with pensions got pensions from towing the line and tigers don't change stripes overnight. Some 30s are still malleable and go with the wave rather than their own thoughts. How's that for vague generalizations and preconceived notions? Glad to be on the team with different points of view which lead to a better solution every time vs lemming group think

Default I'll be in the 24th class as well.

See you guys there. I was told that the 73's were SFO, 320 IAH, and 75/76 DC. Spoke with S.S. on Monday.

Former XJT, anyone else?

Jaden
