So.. will 'Compensation' also correct the (now staying in the fleet, not being retired) 76-3's payrate- to match the 76-4?
Should be a fun few months coming up~ lol Always Motch Looking at the ALPA mail received today: what is the best-guess NSNB, what time-frame for delivery, new or used, and what bases? |
The MEC just put this out.
This week, following careful consideration, the MEC directed the MEC Chairman and the Negotiating Committee to enter into discussions with the company to consider a contract extension. The areas of discussion were carefully delineated and a definitive timeline for these discussions was specified. The areas that will be discussed were first proposed in a letter from management to the MEC Chairman and include: a. Compensation b. Retroactive longevity for furloughees for pay and vacation c. MOU 22 Replacement d. Reserve assignment process improvements e. FRMS Any extension to the UPA will also include a firm order of New Small Narrowbodys (NSNB) on the United Mainline property flown by United pilots. No need for relief on any parts of the contract except for duty day extension for pay. The company needs a 100 seat airplane and will order them regardless. |
Hey guys, as a 2000 furlough who has yet to return, what exactly are we asking for in terms of retroactive longevity etc for furloughees?
|
I was just going to ask the furlough question as well. I just re read LOA 25, section 4 regarding credit for time spent on furlough and was wondering what additions or changes we are seeking. Been out for 7 years and coming back finally, so forgive me if I'm slightly out of the loop on details.
I'm a Nov 08 hire and with the seniority list integration I had a readjusted hire date for longevity of Feb 09. |
They won't be redoing the SLI if that's what you guys are asking. I think it will just change to give full credit from hire date similar to what was done for the furloughed '78 guys. I know somebody has a copy of that agreement to share and I bet Heppner will use that as a basis.
Off the top of my head: - longevity pay determination - vacation - pass longevity - The big thing is that anything to do with DOH will include all your furlough time for any calculations when DOH required. |

While I agree there isn't any reason to give relief for anything except the duty extension for ULH flying, I wouldn't count on a 100 seat order without this deal. DAL pilots said the same thing and their order was indeed cancelled after the TA was rejected. |
Okay, thanks
Wasn't even thinking of SLI. That's over and done with. Just trying to figure out if my pay longevity will improve and I get back my lost 7 or 8 years. I'm not even sure how it works now. When I come back, are my sick and vacation banks all starting from zero? |

Yeah I wasn't inferring any changes to ISL, I was merely wondering what I was missing on making furloughed whole. Just to clarify, I'm an 11/07 hire, not 08. Oops
