Food for thought. AMR pays their 757 Captains $242/hr. FEDEX pays their 757 Captains $262/hr. And they have an A fund still. That's a 13% and 20% raise. And FEDEX has a TA to go higher that's most likely going to go down in flames.
Now I'm not an idiot. I realize that due to pay banding I've plucked the most favorable seat for my example since all Captains at FEDEX get paid the same. But a yes vote from me is going to need to be on the north side of that 13% below AMR. I do feel very strongly about the importance of furlough retro for longevity and improvements to the reserve rules even though I'm not affected by them. Both of those are in real need of fixing. |
