Couple things.

Is pass travel contractual?

Unless the bylaws have been changed, new hires on probation cannot vote.

Pass travel is company benefit , they control it. Pass travel is not in the UPA other than travel to/from training.

New hires less than 1 year won't be able to vote as you point out.

Will the CAL pilots get their seniority restored?

Are you talking about the seniority for vacation and travel? AFAIK they have the seniority that was in place from the CAL contract. Nothing to do with LOA 25, but I agree EVERYONE should be treated the same with regards to what seniority date is used for everything.

I guess if one group gets a carve out every group out there gets a carve out.

Are we still talking about 1978 hires? You mean when the STU's were wearing go-go boots and the gate agents had pimp hats and we were all wearing bellbottoms at the layover?

The Joint Collective Bargaining agreement was suppose to take care of all that stuff. That was when we had our most leverage.

How about the retirees getting their seniority restored?
Now, that's what I'm talkin about.

While I don't understand your response, I'm fairly certain its derogatory.
Is there some specific reason you (and others it appears) would look down upon those who have gone before you.
I'm pretty sure you are disrespecting your own future here.
Does that make sense?
ps I am in fact old and retired in case you thought I was being sarcastic, I wasn't.
