You build a part store not the end of the world, or just include the part store in the purchase. Hell we have 767s that have GE motors a fleet of 767/757s with Prats and another fleet with RR. If you get enough aircraft the commonality doesn't matter anymore. Now a 1 off? That's a much different story than 60+.

China birds are still IAE just dialed up.

We have 6 different 756 variants, I think we can manage two bus types.

We happen to have 6 different 756 types due to legacy issues. That's not necessarily something to be eagerly repeated unless there's a really good reason I think.

Not saying it should be, just that one airplane w/ two different engines isnt that cosmic.

As a generality, bids go more senior in the winter as many pilots don't want to go through school in the summer..
