13+5 = 15????? I gotta go back to school cause that aint the number I came up with.
According to this website we take 5 787-9's this year and 2 next year. It says we have 12 787-10's coming still also. I think 2 of those may have been traded for -9's(the 2 coming in 2018) maybe due to Singapore up'ing their -10 order. We have currently all 12 -8's we ordered, 19 or 20 of the 25 -9's on order and none of the -10's yet. Hope the link works. Once you get to the table you can sort the table for specific things.

Soooo, haven't seen any hot rumors floating around about any fleet announcements at the earnings call tomorrow morning. I did see with the earnings release we bought a dozen of our own leased 737s.

I'm guessing the only thing they might come out and say is that the 350 order is at least deferred if not cancelled. Even then, it might be a while before they come out and say it, as I've read elsewhere in the A350 Orders thread that we are having problems with Rolls. If nothing is said/leaked, I guess perhaps we'll have to wait until an investor day.

That all said, if Boeing is going to launch a MOM/797 I'd expect the announcement this summer at the Paris Air Show. I'd bet on us or Delta as the launch customer, with entry into service in the middle of the next decade. Would fit well with 767/757 retirements.

This article caught my eye today, was surprised to see that BBD was willing to shrink the CS100 to try and get a UAL order. My only guess is that a shrink would allow the CS100 to park at RJ gates and reduce the required FA contingent to two. Thoughts? BBD must have been pretty desperate for the order to make such an offer.

Meanwhile, at the recent town halls in early May I believe the word passed was about two months until the long awaited fleet plan would be announced. Paris airshow is mid to late June. MoM launch customer? I'm feeling lucky! 10X launch customer? Not so much.

Word from the other forum that I mentioned in another thread talked about a problem with getting out of the engine contract on the A350s. I'm wondering if that isn't the major hangup in the decision making process. Manpower Planning is talking about re-starting new hire classes in November time frame so presumably they have some semblance of an idea about next year, but this waiting for the new fleet plan is frustrating.

Looking at theses 2 websites seems to offer one tiny piece of advance information in that they show 2 deliveries of 787s in 2018. So at least we got that going for us

I emailed the guy that maintains the 787 sheet and asked him if he had any intel on our first 787-10, but he did not.
Since we are using the GE motors, the first opportunity for one of those shows up in about late June 2018 (number 722 -though no date assigned yet). They have built one for testing, but that is the first one for a customer. The next 2 after that also show GE motors and then we go back to unknown for motor types. I know we are the North American launch for the 787-10, I just don't know if we will be the first customer to receive a GE equipped -10. If so, it looks like that would come in by late summer, though I think UA has been saying we will get our first in the Fall.

Great info! Sounds like it may be 4 or more 787s in 2018 in total. That alone would be better than a poke in the eye, and really makes me think they are falling behind on training with this obsessive focus on cleaning up the pilot BES efficiencies. They're gonna get the bases perfectly lean only to find they don't have enough pilots to fly their new planned routes.

Thats my hope anyway , . .

I hope so! My father is a GE engineer and spent the last 5 years of his career helping to design the turbine blades..he always gets ****ed when Boeing chooses Trent or P&W.

Hate to say it, but from what I've seen elsewhere the -10 Max is getting officially launched at Paris (show opens on Monday). We may not be the official launch customer, but it appears we are likely to join the queue. If we convert our -9 Max orders to -10, it would not be as bad a gut punch as fresh orders.

MoM/797? It appears Boeing is not ready to launch yet, but I've read that they are going to be providing more info at Paris. I do think that ultimately we will be the launch customer or very close to it, whenever it is officially launched.

Anyone know if SK or OM have been buying Michelin guidebooks or are on the road this week?

Oh, and the last comments I saw from A Levy suggested that the long awaited Fleet Plan still wasn't ready. Ah well, time will tell.
