I don't think they care about things 13 years ago, it's more about airline history, if you've been in the Airlines for years multiple types, upgrade etc etc and no busts it's hard to imagine them weighing that against lazy eights etc.
Stage checks are a little unfair in my opinion as a part 61 guy won't have any of those only FAA checkrides. Still will list though of course.

I agree I am putting everything I can, hard to say if I did or didn't according to my logbook because I could easily have had a fill in instructor, doesn't say stage check. I'm trying to get my student record from school but it's been 13 years ha.

So, what exactly does that imply? Those retirement numbers haven't changed from the last few hiring "projections", yet the hiring projections still decrease. And the total end number "rumors" of 17000 to 18500 by 2020 are still out there.
I'd like to see the company come out with a better explanation of why the hiring has deceased (TK issues?) and how we're going to end with 5000-6000 more pilot's (buy a another airline).

Where they go with those numbers is subject to change. We could match retirements, or double retirements, or not hire another pilot.
In my short time here I've seen those numbers swing around so much I don't even bother trying to forecast future hiring, because obviously that is a moving target (particularly with the recent major changes in fleet plans and those at the top who make the decisions).
Whatever target number was said in the past (17k or whatever) is ancient history, just like the 65 737-700s. Who knows what the plan is now?

When you see sims sitting around empty, or being leased out to third parties, then we can worry.
As far as the 17k+ numbers... I think everyone is in agreement, regardless of your tin foil hat size, the only way to get there is to buy someone.

Yeah winston and grumble, that's kind of what I thought you meant. Thanks for the reply. With all the ups and downs, it just leaves everyone guessing and wondering.
