Stage checks, phase checks, whatever.
I agree I am putting everything I can, hard to say if I did or didn't according to my logbook because I could easily have had a fill in instructor, doesn't say stage check. I'm trying to get my student record from school but it's been 13 years ha.

I don't think they care about things 13 years ago, it's more about airline history, if you've been in the Airlines for years multiple types, upgrade etc etc and no busts it's hard to imagine them weighing that against lazy eights etc.

Stage checks are a little unfair in my opinion as a part 61 guy won't have any of those only FAA checkrides. Still will list though of course.

What you think, and your opinion means Richard. If they ask for it, list it. Your ENTIRE history, not just what you feel is fair.

I'd like to see the company come out with a better explanation of why the hiring has deceased (TK issues?) and how we're going to end with 5000-6000 more pilot's (buy a another airline).
Might have something to do with the fact that 61- 737s have been indefinitely deferred. Don't you think? Deliveries were to start in 2017. No planes...no pilots.

+1. It's more of an honestly test than anything. The more you leave out and they find out about, the more of a problem you face.

My point is that the only known quantity is the number of guys headed out the door. Those numbers are fixed. Any hiring planning the company may engage in begins with those numbers.

Where they go with those numbers is subject to change. We could match retirements, or double retirements, or not hire another pilot.

In my short time here I've seen those numbers swing around so much I don't even bother trying to forecast future hiring, because obviously that is a moving target (particularly with the recent major changes in fleet plans and those at the top who make the decisions).

Whatever target number was said in the past (17k or whatever) is ancient history, just like the 65 737-700s. Who knows what the plan is now?

I know a few folks in the hiring dept, flew with one last week. I asked the specific question about whether the recent fleet news, 737 deferment etc was in anyway related to the recent hiring shortfalls. Everyone has said don't read too much into it. The IAHTK move to DEN, construction, consolidation etc at DENTK has created their largest bottle neck. That's all there is too it.

When you see sims sitting around empty, or being leased out to third parties, then we can worry.

As far as the 17k+ numbers... I think everyone is in agreement, regardless of your tin foil hat size, the only way to get there is to buy someone.

Yeah winston and grumble, that's kind of what I thought you meant. Thanks for the reply. With all the ups and downs, it just leaves everyone guessing and wondering.

Sorry, but you're not correct. As mentioned, call/email BK and ask him YOURSELF.

But it's cool, don't take my word for it.....
