it’s worth a shot applying. Don’t mean to be a db, but you need to know the truth.
So, your company that effectively uses a lotto to pick out of a hat whose active application they will review won’t hire furloughed legacy, huh?

What if they never picked me out of the hat before and I had to, you know, feed my family?

I am not bagging on you, just their “logic” on whether that means they are second choice.

I mean, there are acmi out there that aren't hiring furlough pilots. I think I heard that Fedex requires you to resign before starting class.

I’ve seen a few United, Delta and American guys in the new hire emails. Small percentage but a few got in.

FWIW, right now there shouldn't be a single furloughed legacy pilot, but that may change after March 31 for AA and June 30 for UA I'm sure.

Thanks for the response. I was furloughed from a regional (lucky me). Not sure if that’ll help or hurt me but interesting to hear about their thoughts on Legacy guys. I appreciate the input. That being said, have you heard anything about requiring a certain amount of flight time in the last 6months or year?

I’m assuming this hasn’t changed in the past three years, but the requirement used to be 200 hours in the past two years. I remember it, since it was more lenient than a lot of the cattle haulers.

Default Interview Prep

Hello Everyone,

Last Friday I was fortunate enough to get “the call.” I have a zoom interview scheduled in February.

Does anyone have a recommendation for interview prep services? Also, any general tips/advice for going into the UPS interview would be welcome as well.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I want to come in as prepared as possible.

Thanks,

That attitude alone will help you tremendously in the interview. Adam Hughes seems to be the most popular, although I used emerald coast and have nothing but positive things to say.

Fedex hasn’t altered their interview process at all (2 days in person process), not compromising their process, yet here we are a year later still doing very impersonal Zoom interviews, no sim and no response after interview for possibly months.
