My initial response had to do with the fact political correctness and ridiculous new grooming standards (or lack thereof) are seemingly more important than the safety of our crew members who’re being held against their will by the Chinese in HKG.

To be clear - there’s no official position on a vaccine requirement from the company as of yet.

Today’s IPA hotline.
UPS informed the IPA today that it would begin requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition for new pilot hiring. Even though this rule is limited to new hires, the IPA objected to this mandated policy change. The IPA Executive Board reiterated its consistent position that vaccination should be voluntary.
The EB will continue to update crewmembers on timely COVID related information as it becomes available.
