Especially since we had the option to sit this one out...at least the FOs did.

Heard that peak volume is projected lower than last year. How much lower and the effect of fewer pilots will not be know until early next year. I guess if JA calls go out every day, we may be a little short.

The folks in the airline's front office don't have a clue as to when we will start hiring again, much less the guys in the crew room. I think their (Atlanta's) hope was to front-load all the retirements so they could have some manning stability while they see how all this plays out. I hear 2025 thrown around a lot, but I think it is just an easy way of expressing the opinion that we won't be hiring for a while. I got a JA call for the first time in a long time, so who knows, things could be turning around!
