Anyone else in the holding pool get the “job has been filled” email yesterday?

Yep. We got it. We didn't follow up yet.

I believe it may be a glitch. I asked a pilot in HR and he's asking HR to check.

This evidently happened last year as well. It is the result of our amazing software (UPS is a technology company :rolleyes:). Your status hasn’t changed. However, I also doubt there will be anymore classes this year. Good luck with your career. This is a great job (despite our wonderful IT), but I wouldn’t decline a legacy job just because you’re in the pool.

Why wait for a call that who knows when will come in this hiring environment.

No one wise and qualified would. Still keeping tabs on their pool status- why not?

If I got the TBNT random email- no hiring, no open window, no pool flush announced- I'd ask ****, too.

Glad recent hires that had this before at class date filling spoke up, and word got to HR to fix the glitch, again.

I take it this means that UPS has closed their window? I've heard rumors that they are finished hiring for the remainder of 2023. Can anyone confirm this?

There is no confirmation to be given because management will not confirm or deny this. However, I’d bet money that we don’t have a system bid until next year and no more new hires until June of 2024. The package business volumes are down significantly. Take the best job offered and if this is your dream continue to reapply when we reopen the window. Sorry the news isn’t more cheerful for applicants.

Heard very recently small system bid upcoming moving folks off MD, no hiring probably until at least 2025. We are overstaffed and company looking to use attrition to bring levels to pre covid. Just what I heard.
