Has anyone timed out at UPS? I did every year at Kalitta. We didn’t have soft time really either. When guys are saying I got paid 115 hours of credit, that’s all hard time. The worst day at UPS is better than the best day at Kalitta. It’s comparing apples to car tires.

Totally unnecessary comment..

So someone shares he/she just got shut down and the discussion devolves into how much money one can make here versus elsewhere.. Classy.

To the OP - don’t give up, try again when the time comes. Brown is alright BUT there are MANY great jobs out there..

I think your being a bit dramatic. Your absolutely correct about Don’t Give Up. We all have empathy for someone that doesn’t make it through the process. I’d love to know the individuals that received the TBNT actually did a interview prep with Adam Hughes or someone similar? Have a blessed New Year.

Just FYI, I applied to UPS and a Legacy at the same time. The Legacy called first. So I was in training when I did the UPS interview. I had updated my job history on the website, but my interviewers didn't know I was at the Legacy now. I think maybe that's what sank me. I can't complain I guess. I'll be home more with the Legacy eventually (I live in base), but man, that retirement would have been sweet.

IMO you dodged a bullet. Living in base trumps commuting any day. Plus movement is really slowing, You will most likely have much better opportunities at your legacy than here. This isn’t the place you want to be junior for long.

Your retirement will be just fine at a legacy. I love my job at UPS, but you can’t beat living in base.

Best of luck to you!

A certain blue and red legacy told me I wasn't good enough at multitasking and dot counting so I can try again in 3 months (or maybe I failed the weird Hogan-like test). They were my #1 airline. Getting told TBNT is not a good feeling. But life finds a way and when some doors close, others will open.

I have to remind myself that it isn't a judgment of my flying abilities or career. It's just business.

Dude, you didn’t tell us you already had a legacy job when you got the TBNT. That’s a very different place to be in than “out of airspeed and ideas”, which is how I read your initial post. You aren’t under pressure…enjoy the legacy and just keep trying at UPS if you really want that.

Sorry. I am still sad as UPS was my first choice.

I agree it's not a terrible situation to be in. Still sucks to be told no though.
