Union elections
I made a thread so peeps can discuss the upcoming union elections if they desire.
Hate to have to emphasize this but:
The election posts highjacking other threads were deleted. Impersonating election candidates will not be tolerated. Questionable posts will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be banned.
So lets play nice and discuss like adults.

I saw that. I’ll sit down tomorrow evening with a scotch and see if I have any strong opinions on the candidates. It’s going to be a tough slog negotiating whole volumes are shrinking, but I think we can hit industry leading in A plan, pay, and vacation if we are willing to wait it out.

Voting is open! Not knowing any of the candidates personally, or even by reputation, I watched the candidate forum and numerous other videos the candidates have released to help shape my opinion. Pro tip - set the candidate forum on 1.5x speed...it is still easy to understand. All three candidates were well-spoken and thoughtful. It appeared a couple of them had a history based on the barbs thrown between them on occasion, but overall they were respectful. As someone hired since the last contract, it ultimately came down to picking the candidate that aligned most with my stance on the issues important to me (as it does in any election). Do your own homework, and please vote.
