747
Anybody know how selective UPS is currently being with assigning folks to 747, right out of training? More specifically, I have Mil Heavy time (~1800) and the rest light and large. Will I have a good chance of getting the 747?

Assuming your heavy time is somewhat recent, you will have an excellent shot at the 74.

So what base and equipment is trending to be the most junior and how many years are we looking at?
Also, how long before being awarded MIA 75/76 and how many years for upgrade there? I get the impression it is a small and senior domicile with not much movement.

Your impression is correct. Junior Captain is 2007 hire, so unless you are young, and assuming it doesn’t close, you won’t see left seat in MIA for a long time. Right seat, new hires can hold it in the next system bid after getting hired, if you did not get in indoc, assuming you get 75/76 as a new hire. Any other plane gets an 18 month equipment lock.

Before this craziness, RSV in MIA was very senior. You had to wait a few years to hold it. But now since the company has been using and abusing reserves more, it is trending a bit more junior. We have about 8-10 guys in MIA who are professional reservists. That likely won’t change.
