No, that doesn’t happen here.

The reason is that the company builds trips to start and finish in domicile and there is no “sort” in ANC the way there is in SDF or ONT.

How long does it take to get trips that fly once a month?

on the whale, the schedule optimizer has really taken those 2 week trips away. You have to be crazy senior to get it. Typically you'll see 8 days on 1 or 2 days off then another 7 or 8 day trip.

But hey, you get AP and LP.
Regarding late, late changes to one’s schedule while in the car to the airport or just checking in…

I have had good luck just telling the scheduler to make sure my schedule shows the duty day starting at the original time. Your duty day starts at a new report time only if you let that happen.

In this scenario, what would be your time off after 2 back to back week long trips in the whale?

14 days off is guaranteed. So you lost 1 or 2 days in between trips. Then depending on where you live, you might lose a day on both ends commuting.

Not correct. All lines in a fleet and domicile shall AVERAGE 28 days off in a 56 day bid period. There are numerous lines that have 11 days off in a 28 day pay period.
