Wouldn't that mean that there would be numerous lines with 45 days off in a 56 day period to bring the average to 28, or to make it more complicated, many more than 14 days off out of 28? I sure haven't seen many with extra days on the 75. Perhaps you are looking at baseline trips and the difference between a day and 24 hours off?

Sure. The point I was trying to make is not every line is required to have 14 days off.

Default FedEx vs UPS QOL

I've been talking to a lot of pilots from both UPS and FedEx. It seems that at UPS guys are doing up to 4 flights a day doing domestic hub turns and FedEx pilots are saying they only fly 2 legs a day max and USUALLY it's only 1. How can the QOL be so different between the two?

UPS PM turn legs
757/767 = 2-4 legs
A300 = 2-4 legs (not sure how many 4 leg turns they have)
MD11 = 2 legs
747 = 2 legs

Accurate, of course, but I think we're down to one domestic turn. At least as far as I can tell. MSP, MIA, and PHL seem to be gone. There are still a few DFW turns. This is from a quick scan of the bid package, I'm open to correction.

And there are still some ICN-PVG turns, as well. Maybe some other intra-Asia stuff? I run from such things.

It seems like the FedEx guys I know like to brag online about dropping their whole schedule or working 6 days a month with double DH on every trip. I assume they are exaggerating how often that happens but is the schedule really superior at purple? I always assumed the brown/purple differences were pretty minimal.

74 has picked up the SJU turns from the MD. Granted, it’s kind of a good deal.

We don't know anything you don't. My buddies at FedEx seem to have a somewhat better deal than we do here, in terms of schedule, but it's not game-changing at relatively similar levels of seniority. My sense is that maybe they get a better deal than we do when senior, but I wouldn't know, because I'm not. I can confirm that their catering is much, much better than ours. OTOH, from the cheap seats, they seem to be a lot less unified than we are, as a group. Louisville is better than Memphis (I didn't say it was great). But their commuting rules are better than ours. Potato/Potaaaaato? If I didn't care where I lived and I got an offer from both on the same day, I would probably go to FedEx. But I wouldn't walk past an invitation from UPS unless I really wanted to live in Memphis. Which, who knows, maybe someone does.

That seems to be the consensus on this forum. I would say 10 days is more accurate but 6 days of actual work. Double dh, day flying within a year supposedly.
