I've heard the vacancy bid will come out the first week of January.

Please have the PIC requirement removed.

I'm a little surprised about the timed for your case to be honest. In the last year or two, UPS hired a F22 guy and I can't imagine he had a lot more time than you. I think he flies 38s in San Antonio in he reserves still. I would have to think its a pretty small community. See if you can reach out, maybe your paths have crossed.

I think I know who you are talking about, if it's the same person he has a letter of rec in for me. That guy did a year at United before he got hired at UPS so he has some hours on me.

At the job fair, HR mentioned moving the TPIC requirement to a "preferred" status beginning in January. At the same token, it's still pretty valuable to UPS from my experience at the same fair. I talked to a recruiter and he specifically said my application would not be as competitive as others because I had only 1100 TPIC. Said I'd be more competitive with around 2300 TPIC. Also said he'd prefer me to stay put and build PIC as opposed to moving to Atlas to get heavy experience. FWIW, my other notable items on the application are 7500 hours total, Summa Cum Laude from college, Masters Degree, and Line Check Pilot, plenty of volunteer time. Good Luck to everyone.

Yes, you fly both.

I don't really see a reason to remove it. There are still plenty of candidates who have the PIC.

I'd rather fly with someone who has command time versus someone who doesn't. You can tell a difference.
