Stay away. I interviewed a few years ago and told them during the interview I would be happy to work for them when Jim S was gone They still offered me a job and I declined. Jim S is gone and it is still not better. I don't believe it to be the fault of the management team in place now, but some higher power. Think "Endeavor"!

Its the Comair mafia that has control now. The guys that are helping run the show from the old DPJ want to make it better for the pilots. They know that they are way behind the curve as far as a decent QOL and pay... The honchos at BIG D could give a rats a$$ if the pilots and flight attendants are taken care of. They just want it to be their little piggy bank! As a small cog in the empire it will never recieve the respect it deserves, and as long as it remains a small private entity and no "outside" support and leverage it will remain a place to come and go when times get tough for you as a pilot... It truly has the Biggest name in US aviation to push to the next level.

It's basically crewed at 2 captains and 2 first officer per jet. I know one of the 604 fo's and said pilot can't wait to get a new job... The turnovers on the first officer side is extremely high. The captains make descent money but no where near where it should be. You will get no vacation. You will work more days than they say. You will not be compensated for all of the extra days you work. You will leave be up to fly out on your first day at 4 am! If you are lucky you might get home to eat dinner at your house on your last day. Most of the time depending on where you live you might not get home until 10pm on your last day. Plan on being gone 18-22 days a month. You will cover the jet when the other fo is in training, misses the commute due to cancellation, wx, or is sick. Pay will never improve as long as they can find flight instructors or low time guys to warm the seat. Trust me they try to spit shine the sh&t out of the fact it's a delta company! It is nothing like being a Delta pilot! The chief and the assistant chief are great guys but they have nothing to work with because of Big D's handcuffs on them.

Just to update some folks. I'm not typed in anything they fly and got an email to do an initial video interview. From what I've read on here, it looks like I shouldn't bother and just keep bumming it at my ANG job. Unless someone out there has some new updates to how things are there that make it better??
