Thumbs down

After my last airline shut down in 2008 I thought I would try the 135 world. It is an absolute disaster and after your airline experience you will be quickly disillusioned and hating life. I felt every day that my license was on the line and I had no back-up. SIC pay was $36,000 per year when I left plus a revolving 4 year training contract.

Good Luck

Delta Private Jets is a bottom feeder 135 that manages a bunch of old tired jets. This thread should be moved to the 135 section.

Yeah that pretty much sums up 135 flying. Even the larger 135 companies don't even come close to giving you the security that one would hope for if their flying for a registered air carrier.

A four year training contract though? F^%$ that!

The larger regionals, LCCs and majors are hiring if you meet minimums and like to network. People who stay and then complain have other options...

I have had my application in with XOJet for a few years now, good luck with that! I think you need to know someone there to get an interview i think.

Really? You have GV experience and you want to fly a C750 or CL300 with XOJet? Dude, your background appears to be military. If so, Delta is hiring something like 70-90 per month for the next 10 years and there are probably tons of GV operators who will be receptive to your overtures. You probably have several options if you really care to look for them. Just sayin'....
