Unrelated....
I've got a Pop's leather jacket from my time at ExpressJet. It's still basically brand new and anyone with a Pop's can attest to the quality and custom tailored fit. I'd like to use it now at Compass. Difference is the patch nametag/wings vs. the wings eyeholes. I looked at Pop's website and they don't list a Compass option. Any Compass guys seen leather jackets on the line using the patch style wings? With all the prior 121 we have I can't imagine everyone that used the patch style at their old airline just got rid of them.

Thx espee...
Related to the additional flying,...
When asked about bidding on new flying, the COO brought up a point I hadn't considered. He said CPZ would try to seek additional flying with other carriers so that when the DAL CPA comes to an end we don't have all our eggs in one basket. Makes sense, no matter how happy DAL is with our product, we would have little room for negotiating a new CPA if DAL was our only customer.

The folks at CPZ have been saying this mess about additional flying forever, ever since I can remember when I was there... I remember at one time they were saying the Eagle flying that went to Republic was in the bag. Then it was the 175's that went to Mesa...and they were even spouting stuff about 'larger planes' such as the 190. LOL. They will say anything.

Not a company guy by any stretch, but I've been around since almost the beginning and I've never heard that. Also never heard anyone say anything about bigger planes.
Not a koolaide guy, but I've honestly only heard pragmatism from our chiefs here. If you've had a different experience, please share. I think most CPZ guys would agree with me on this. Enlighten . . .

I second that. air101, who told you that? I've never heard management say anything of the sort. The "folks at CPZ" have been saying that since you remember? How long were you here and when did you leave?

It was people at HDQ.. everyone's favorite DO Mike White and others who were in the know. They were using the tactic to get some of the dispatchers to stay as well as other HDQ people who were fleeing. Over a period of about 5 weeks last year half the DX staff left but they were telling all kinds of stories to get them to stay... promising new planes on the horizon, more opportunities, etc.
