Thanks
Guys who were hired at the end of August are holding lines in LAX and MSP but are still on reserve in DTW, and currently for guys hired at the end of August the must junior upgrade is about 140 numbers away... Should give some prospective

Is Compass still hiring in to the LAX base or is that complete?

It's at it's target capacity now but it'll almost be like a revolving door for the bottom half as MSP FO's upgrade and LAX FO's on the bottom fill the MSP vacancies. But there will probably be more MSP vacancies for new hires than in the previous couple of bids. Just a guess though!

Thank you Cory. It would be ideal to get LAX out of a class since I'm on this side of the world.

Safe flights!

I would say there is about a. 99.9% chance you'd get LAX either as your first award or have it awarded by the time you complete training.

Default LAX flying

What are the trips (destinations) and schedules like for the LAX base? Very many overnights or a lot of out and backs?

Thanks

Thanis
Mostly day trips at the moment. Rumor is that should change as we start the shuttle between LAX/SFO to SEA. Deltanet also shows us operating LAX-PDX and SEA/SFO-SAN in June.

Ha!! That would be pretty sweet though

We're also doing weekend service between LAX- GPI/MSO/BZN, but those might just be day trips. The trip mix will probably diversify in May / June as the base is fully staffed and new routes open up on the west coast

Question Upgrade time?

Thanks for the information from my previous post. So after researching this thread, Would it be reasonable to assume if a pilot starts class in April 2014, that it would be about a 2 -2.5 year upgrade time given the flows and other attrition? From what I have read there would be about 300 pilots flowing at 20 / month - is my math correct? Given everything goes as planned, as it always does

Thank you.
