Agreed with the not cool part though
Well "the sweater" to me is the military one... Thats what I thought he meant.

Good thing the 175 is not a cold cockpit. In the winter you turn it into a sauna and in summer you can cool it down to a meat locker. The environmental system is outstanding.

You had me at "sauna."

Lost the heater Saturday night. Made for a cold trip from Chicago back to Minneapolis. All I kept thinking was "Working heater? Working autopilot? Sold. The pay cut will be so worth it."

One more month.

Winter is a different animal on the 121 side. Its almost cheating. All sorts of unheard of stuff-deicing, heated windshields (as in the whole thing!), heated leading edges, decent ram rise, the ability to climb....Just get off probie year, and things will be pretty good. Should regionals still compensate better? Hell yes. However, I think you will be pleased, and Compass has good taste apparently!

With Lax opening and no growth does that mean MSP & DTW will shrink? How many crews in each base in the end?

Right now no one knows for sure, but the majority of crews were rumored to come from msp

That only adds up to 200 crews, we have over 500 pilots no?

Even before the massive hiring for the anticipated flows I believe there were 460 pilots or roughly 230 crews. With part 117 and all the new flying/utilization on the west I believe we're expected to be a 250 crew/ 500 pilot airline. My guess is:
60 - LAX
145 - MSP
45 - DTW

Rough's numbers work if he's talking about lines of flying. That sounds reasonable. Add reserves and you get close to 450-500

Just relaying the exact number I got from the CP. Room for error, reserves, change to 117, speed of flow out, etc., will skew numbers some. It's still in flux, but will probably end up in that range.
