Have you considered Endeavor? They are hiring into MSP...

I would very much recommend Compass to any peer looking for a quality regional airline.

My 2 cents.
In the end, Compass is run by TSH now. Take that in consideration of your overall analysis. Your experience so far has been mostly with Compass personnel, who are in my opinion been very good with the resources they have been given.

Hiring and upgrading for the flow is over. Basically, the hiring for the AA growth is almost over, maybe another 10-30. Upgrades for the AA growth is almost over too. Maybe another 10-20. Going forward, hiring and upgrades mostly for attrition only. I would guess at least 5/month are leaving (~1%/month of the overall pilot group size), with that number steadily increasing over the coming years.

Endeavor has stopped shrinking, so that puts them and Compass on pretty much equal footing for attrition. Everything equal, Compass and Endeavor's attrition % will be roughly the same. One factor to adjust that by, is Endeavor has a flow to Delta for those that pass that SSP. That creates an additional attrition number over what Compass will see.

For those looking at the bonus structure. Endeavor pilots are all getting $20,000/year extra on top of their regular earnings, which are similar to Compass earnings. Compass is offering a one time $10,000 bonus, but you do not get that every year like Endeavor's program. The Compass bonus is also in dispute, since it pays one group outside the bounds of the contract and also creates a pay structure that is paying junior pilots more than their senior counterparts.

I will also add that with the size MSP shrunk and now that the flow has ended, getting MSP as a FO will take longer, and even if you hold it relatively quick, climbing the seniority in MSP will take a long time. Holding CA in MSP will take even longer. Things can change, but unless MSP grows again, that is the likely outcome for someone coming here now and hoping to take advantage of a MSP base.

There's still about 60-70 to flow, just had crew planning come into our upgrade class and they said there will be at least 2 more big vacancies and will continue there after. Just slower. There's still 12 airplanes to be delivered for AA. I used to work for 9E, and the way I have been treated here is night and day compared to 9E. Not to mention the flying is better!

Also speaking from personal experience Compass has treated me much better than Endeavor. I know Endeavor has changed over the past couple of years but it will take a long time to get rid of that bitter culture that has stained the airline. You'll have more opportunities at Compass and the smaller airline means quicker movement. I'd stay away from Endeavor. There will still be plenty of movement at Compass. Every regional is hiring like crazy (even without flow agreements) and Compass will be no different once the flows leave. It's a great place all around.

Cue the 9E trolls to claim otherwise.

This brings up a question I had awhile back, but from what I have gathered by asking around. It seems people suggest applying or minimally getting the ball rolling around three months prior to meeting the ATP hour requirements? What is your take on this? Anyone know who to talk to over at CPZ specifically?

Thanks!

I can't claim that is better than Compass. I've never worked for Compass. I can tell you that it's not a bad place today. When I crossed to the Pinnacle side after the Mesaba acquisition I was shocked at the difference between the two companies. Much of the bitterness is gone, except for those that left during the tumultuous times that can't let go

9E will have continuted attrition via SSP, 20k bonus. At this point 9E has more to offer, unless were talking about bases. I came from 9E too, the bell curve is real now. I have been treated the same from one regional to another. Cheerleading opinions about one regional or another is ridiculous.
